Amilcar AlvesWhen and why did you start training for fighting? I started Judo in 1985 when my parents put me in it to get some discipline and respect. I competed in Judo several times from when I was a kid until I was an adult. In 2004 I realized I wanted to be a MMA pro fighter and I knew I had the potential for it. In 2006 I debuted and smashed my opponent in three minutes.

Marlon Sandro, Jose Aldo and Anderson Silva What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? That all my efforts were rewarded and the best show on the planet gave me a chance to prove that I'm ready for the higher level. I'm joining the best promotion to be the best fighter.
