TRAINING: I train with my boxing coach Raul almost every morning. Then I'll head out on a run or do sprints on the hill or track at midday. Every night I train BJJ, MMA sparring, and every night I finish with 30 minutes on the jump rope.
Thoughts on opponent, Mike Pierce? Mike Pierce is a good wrestler and he's very strong with good endurance.
When and why did you start training for fighting? I was in great shape and wanted to test myself. I saw Chuck KO Tito and said. 'I want to do that!'
What ranks and titles have you held? Cage Combat Middleweight Champ, Tachi Palace Fights welterweight champ, David Terrell purple belt
Do you have any heroes? Dave Terrell, Nelson Mandela
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? Everything I've done in my life has led me to this moment. I'm honored to fight for my team, family, and everyone up in Nor-Cal.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? No
What was your job before you started fighting? I worked in stream restoration, lift operation, construction, and odd jobs
Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? Two-time Gracie Open champion
Specific accomplishments in pro competition? Winning the CCFC and TPF belts and defending the 707.
