Biographie

TRAINING: I sleep 12 hours.  Wake up.  Practice my piano or go to yoga.  Head over to the chiropractor.  Train at noon everyday for 90 minutes.  Then at night I either lift or run nine minutes.  I usually watch a movie or sit in the hot tub before I sleep.  Try to stay off the booze on the weekends, which is a little easier now that football is over.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training when I was 10.  I first started a Hawaiian martial art known as Kajukenbo with my first karate instructor Veon McCarrol, then began wrestling and doing judo with Steve Owens (Don Frye's original trainer) my freshman year in high school in 1994. I took second in state my junior year, then began fighting in the second Rage in the Cage for Roland Sarria shortly upon graduation.  After my college wrestling career was cut short due to a serious motorcycle accident, I moved up to Phoenix for two years to become a mixed martial artist.  That’s where I evolved into the world class competitor that I am today.

What ranks and titles have you held? I hold two Arizona state titles for welterweight MMA for Roland Sarria's RITC and Chuck Costello's XFC.  I am a Rage on the River Champion  (Sacramento, CA), Jason Town's WFF champion (Canada), Combat zone  (Boston) USKBA national and world champion.

Do you have any heroes? Michael Johnson, my old celly k-9, Snoop Dogg, my brother Sean, Bernard Hopkins, Teddy Roosevelt, Alexander Karelin, Frank Shamrock, George St. Pierre ( but only because he looks and talks just like Jean Claude Van Damme), Jean Claude Van Damme, KC Davis, Mike Lechuga, Rick Caldwell and myself.

What is your favorite technique? Spinning hook kick to the back of the ear.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? That all my friends are gonna see me on TV and it's gonna be awesome!

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I went to college, but I dropped out because I was too busy picking up chicks.

What was your job before you started fighting? I've never had a real job.  My dream is to fight or live like a bum trying.
