When and why did you start training for fighting? I love to compete and it was a natural progression from my wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu background.

What ranks and titles have you held? Gladiator Heavyweight champion, Gladiator Light-heavyweight champion, WEC light-heavyweight champion. Brown Belt in BJJ

What is your favorite technique? Punches to the ear on the ground. “Ear Holing”.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It’s a dream come true, but it’s where I belong. I have paid my dues in other organizations.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? One year of college. Dropped out of college to support my son.

What was your job before you started fighting? I worked at the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Dept, teaching firearms and Defensive Tactics. I now train full time.
