Biographie
TRAINING: Conditioning in the morning plus weights, then Muay Thai around noon, then wrestling and ground work in the evening.
When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training in 2003. I had completed my wrestling career and was still looking to compete. I ran into a friend (James Irvin) that said that he was training to cage fight. It sounded interesting to me, and other wrestlers that I competed against at the same time I did were fighting (Tito Ortiz).
What ranks and titles have you held? I took 5th in Junior College State for California. I won a couple of tournaments in grappling but my biggest title or belt that I hold is the one with my name on the back.
Do you have any heroes? My Father
What is your favorite technique? Beat your ass.
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? This is a dream come true. I know that there are millions of people that have the same dream so I plan to ride this till the wheels fall off.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I have an Associates of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and I am in the process of completing my Masters
What was your job before you started fighting? I was a Youth Correctional Counselor
