TRAINING: A typical day of training can be three training sessions, from light movement to heavy training.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I’ve been training for fighting all my life. It runs in my family.

What ranks and titles have you held? Renzo Gracie Jiu-Jitsu black belt; won the Pan American championship three times.

Do you have any heroes? Kenny Monday, Sugar Ray Robinson, Bruce Lee

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It’s a great opportunity for me to start making some real money.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? No college

What was your job before you started fighting? I was an ironworker with Local 580
