Biographie

TRAINING: Training is going better than ever since making the switch to Power MMA. Daily training consists of drilling from 10-11 and lifting from 11-12 on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Team practice from 3:30-5pm. Every day is focused on different disciplines.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I've wrestled since I was four, so it just clicked the first time I ever watched it. I was hooked from there on out and started training.

What ranks and titles have you held? Midwest Cage Championship Lightweight Champion. Purple belt in Jury Jiu-Jitsu under Myles Jury.

Do you have any heroes? My heroes are the men and women who give their lives to protect our freedom, giving us the opportunity to pursue our dreams.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It's a dream I now get to live, which is crazy to think about. It's just another step in the right direction, but there is still a lot of work to do and time to work even harder.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? No

What was your job before you started fighting? Bartender - so I could make it by and still train during the day.

Favorite grappling technique: Takedown via punch or kick

Favorite striking technique: Knockout - however I can get it

· Pro since 2007

· 15 wins by KO, three by submission (RNC, 2 guillotine)

· 14 first round finishes

· Has won 12 of his last 14

· Lost 2008 bout to UFC vet Marcus LeVesseur

· Origin of nickname – “I got my nickname from my popularity as a local fighter as well as my ‘highlight reel’ finishes.”
