TRAINING: Training 2 a days for 7 weeks. Mix of pad work, live sparring, and strength and conditioning
When and why did you start training for fighting? I started martial arts when I was six, and started fighting when I was 19. I love martial arts and I’m good at it....so why not?
What ranks and titles have you held? King of the Cage superfight champion, Cage Wars (England) superfight champion, national kumite champion (karate), world team kumite champion (karate), 2002 US open absolute grappling champion, numerous grappling and karate championship medals.
Do you have any heroes? Jean Claude Van Damme
What is your favorite technique? Any flashy kick.
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It’s the premier fight organization. It’s the best of the best and I’m a part of it. I worked my whole life training in martial arts and it is paying off.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I am 15 credits away from my degree in psychology.
What was your job before you started fighting? I still invest in real estate, and I am the owner of Knockout Fitness, which is affiliated with American Top Team. I teach full-time there as well.
