Shane Del Rosario
First started training as a hobby when he was 17 with Marco Ruas. In college, he focused mainly on academics and only trained periodically. Upon graduation I noticed the increasing demand and opportunity in MMA. I contemplated going to graduate school, or making a go at a career in MMA. I decided on pursuing an MMA career and began to train full time with Colin Oyama. I have been a part of Team Oyama for six years.
Ranks and titles held: WBC Muay Thai Heavyweight World Champion. Blue belt in BJJ.
Undefeated in amateur Muay Thai fights.
What he said it meant to fight in the UFC: "It solidifies that I made the right decision in pursuing an MMA career. UFC is the top organization and I am proud and honored to fight alongside the other UFC athletes."
