Lauzon vs. Lawlor: Who is the Ultimate Tweeter?

Joe Lauzon and Tom Lawlor will live tweet from the @ufc account during UFC 111 this Saturday, testing their endurance and wit during at least five battles, two of which could go up to five rounds. The one-time training partners will weigh in from opposite ends of the country during this weekend's super-PPV, offering their comments, insights and general wisdom. While closely matched in comic timing on paper, one thing is for sure -- when these two titans clash, it's the audience who will win.

Tom LawlorTom Lawlor holds a 6-2 MMA record thanks to his experience in college wrestling and the secret art of Babboo Baby. Though now known as the UFC fighter to make it onto the list of 15 Craziest Moments in UFC twice, he first rose to stardom on the child acting circuit, scoring roles as Big Bird in his kindergarten play and Santa Claus in 5th grade. While Lawlor respects Lauzon's dedication to the sport, he also adds, "I first trained under the guy who trained the guy who trained Joe. So I am naturally closer to the source and better than him."

Lawlor next takes on Tim Credeur at UFC 113 in Montreal.

Joe LauzonWhile Joe Lauzon lags behind Lawlor in the number of TUF alumni at his gym and in eating contest records, Lauzon's secret weapon may in this weekend's showdown may be his Twitter experience -- the early adopter is one of the most active UFC fighters on the social media network. He is also widely believed to possess superpowers in his ears.

Lauzon is expected to fight in the UFC's first dance in Boston later this summer.
