Brisbane's own Damien Brown will get the opportunity of a lifetime this weekend when he makes his UFC debut against Alan Patrick at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on March 20.
The lightweight bout was made after Patrick's original opponent, Chad Laprise was moved to a fight against Ross Pearson on the same night.
In the UFC Fight Night main event, which airs on March 19 in the United States on FOX Sports 1, Frank Mir battles Mark Hunt.
A veteran of the Australian Army who has compiled a 15-8 MMA record, Brown brings a five-fight winning streak into his first Octagon bout against Brazil's Patrick, who is 12-1 as a pro with two UFC victories.
