Following the postponement of their June 27 bout in Florida due to visa issues, light heavyweights Nikita Krylov and Marcos Rogerio de Lima will now meet in Saskatoon on Sunday, August 23, as part of the UFC Fight Night card at the SaskTel Centre.
The reputation of Sao Paulo banger de Lima as a knockout puncher has been well-established in Brazil for years. But it wasn’t until he arrived in the UFC in 2014 and dispatched Richardson Moreira and Igor Pokrajac in a combined two minutes and 19 seconds that the rest of the world got on board. In August, he faces off with another international rising star in Ukraine’s Krylov, a former heavyweight prospect whose move to 205 pounds has been an impressive one, as he brings a two-fight finishing streak, with wins over Cody Donovan and Stanislav Nedkov, into this bout.
