Here's a look at what people got right and wrong about Fight Night Zagreb.
Junior Dos Santos was the popular pick going into Sunday's main event against Ben Rothwell, but nobody seemed to think this fight was going to end in a decision.
Dos Santos out struck Rothwell by a lopsided margin over five rounds while employing a brilliant stick and move strategy to hit the big Wisconsin native with punches to the body and head before moving away time and time again.
Dos Santos was the favorite according to fantasy players on UFC.com, with 53-percent picking him to win, but very few people saw it happening via decision. Dos Santos was selected by 82 percent of players to finish by knockout while Rothwell had 68 percent in his favor to do the same.
It's clear the heavyweights are best known for finishes, but this time around Dos Santos got the job done by decision.
Meanwhile, in the co-main event, Derrick Lewis made everybody look good after he was a whopping 70-percent favorite to win and an even bigger 87 percent pick to do so by knockout. Lewis made good on those odds with a thunderous knockout over Gabriel Gonzaga in the first round.
The same could be said for Frenchman Francis Ngannou, who was another heavy favorite to win, with 73 percent of players picking him to win, not to mention 68 percent by knockout. Ngannou actually won due to an eye injury to opponent Curtis Blaydes, but the official result still reads TKO due to doctor's stoppage.
Tim Johnson also walked into the card as a massive 71 percent favorite to win his fight over newcomer Marcin Tybura, but he also needed three rounds to get the job done. Once again, just like the main event, Johnson was a 59 percent favorite to finish by knockout, but he still pulled through with the victory over three rounds.
In the strawweight division, Maryna Moroz, was selected by 82 percent of fantasy players, with the majority picking her to win by decision. It was a smart play, as Moroz won on the scorecards while handing rookie UFC fighter Cristina Stanciu a loss in her Octagon debut.
In the prelims, Mairbek Taisumov was one of the heaviest favorites, with 86 percent of fantasy players picking the heavy handed Russian to get his fourth straight win. To add to those totals, 53 percent picked Taisumov to win by knockout, which worked out well as he wrapped up his fourth consecutive finish with a brutal uppercut that put Damir Hadzovic to sleep.
Another huge favorite was Jared Cannonier, who proved players correct after he slammed home a vicious knockout over Cyril Asker in the first round. Cannonier had 82 percent of players picking him, with 66 percent predicting a knockout and he certainly delivered.
One of the only fights that saw the majority of players end up with the wrong pick was in the featured prelim, as 53 percent picked Nicolas Dalby to stay undefeated, but Zak Cummings proved to be too tough and ended up with a decision victory after three rounds. 61 percent of the players picking Cummings had him winning by decision, so that played well into their favor once the fights were over.
Fantasy players across the board were savvy with picks on the card in Croatia with the majority of picks coming through by the time the show was finished. The most surprising aspect had to be decisions in two of the featured heavyweight bouts on the main card.
Still considering that the odds are typically in favor of a heavyweight fight ending by knockout or submission before the final bell, that definitely appeared to be the smart play going into the card on Sunday.
